Ambiguity of Pos./Neg. Space

By Richard Fonteneau

This logo shows a great use of Positive and Negative space in such a clever way. This was one of the most interesting and creative logos I have ever seen!Such an economical design with such a complex design that shows exactly what its portraying (Spartan Golf Club) and can easily be seen in both image views. A well made design and I am a big fan of this artist!

Identity Systems

This company shows a great example of using Identity Systems. A very simple logo was created to use on business cards, business parchment, and envelopes. This company is used for integrated promotions, which is clearly noted in the idea of using the logo on all of these pieces. These can also be used for anything they promote as a sort of producer logo identity. Very economical and yet so strong all at the same time.

Paula Scher: History of Graphic Design

Paula Scher was an interesting designer to study and learn about. This photo is of her biggest design she has ever made. A lot of what she does involves typography used to create a wide range of messages she shares with the world. In another piece, she uses typography to portray the tsunami in Haiti. The work she does is truely inspirational and a joy to observe!

Keith Haring: Graphics For Change

So first I would like to mention my apologies for the tardiness of all my posts, as I finally got this thing working! Ok now on to the post.

Keith Haring’s poster for fight against AIDS was truely inspirational to me. I have known this artist for a long time and a lot of his work that he has done! A lot of the other work he has done has had great impacts on the world with its bold message. In the link below, more information (including the picture from the gallery) shows his work and how he feels about them. I really was touched by his work on fighting AIDS and the fight to free South Africa.
