“TRASH: anycoloryoulike is a public art project for urban beautification and environmental awareness. The project consists of select city blocks in which new artist-created trash bags transform standard piles of trash into vivid sculptures of color through the participation of local business owners and residents. The project was developed by artist Adrian Kondratowicz.”
Starting in Holland Adrian Kondratowicz decided to turn trash into art, literally. With an installment in NYC you can now see these artistic trash bags dotting NYC sidewalks on trash day. I feel this is a great way to turn something ugly into something beautiful, while helping to make people more aware of just how much trash we do make, by make it stand out and become more noticeable.
It is rumored that there are to be new colors and designs out this Spring.
